Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance if he will confirm if the Revenue Commissioner has preferential creditor status relating to debts accruing for non-payment of the property tax, that is if there is non-payment on a property and the property has a mortgage on it, when the property is sold, does the Revenue have access to claim the debt owed to it over the mortgage provider's claim to the amount the property for which is soldr.
