Deputy Seamus Healy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection in view of the failure of the Government, through the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, to establish a system of safe, affordable and accessible child care, similar to that in place in the Scandinavian countries, if she will withdraw the measures in relation to lone parents to be implemented on 2 July 2015 and, in particular, the reduction in the age of the youngest child to seven years as the threshold above which the one-parent family payment will not be payable.
