Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Education and Skills if a child who must remain at home and partake in remote learning during the 2020/2021 year due to Covid-19 health concerns and has had access to an SNA for the past number of years will lose their SNA allocation if they cannot attend school; if they will have to reapply for an SNA allocation in the following school year; if not, if they will automatically retain their allocation from previous years; if the child can return to school, if they will be allowed to use their sensory equipment in the classroom such as pads and hand held devices which enable them to concentrate; if not, if they will be seen as a risk for the spread of Covid-19; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
