188 Deputy Charles Flanagan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if, in relation to EU Council Directive 92/43/EEC of 21 May 1997 on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora, he is satisfied that this State complied with regulations which obliged Member States to bring into force laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with the directive within two years of its notification; if appropriate deadlines were met in respect of the provision of national legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
