232 Mr. English asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works will carry out a traffic survey of bridge users, a structural survey of the bridge, a subsidence survey due to excessive volume of traffic at a bridge over the River Boyne at Stackallen, County Meath, with a view to implementing a major programme of works to upgrade this aging bridge; if the canal locks on each side of the weir to bring the area up to a proper amenity and recreational level will be reinstated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
