Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Transport whether he intends to impose a cap on imports of palm oil mill effluent derived biofuel under the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation, further to his Department's indication in 2025 that such a limit had not been ruled out; the assessment the National Oil Reserves Agency has made of the risk of virgin palm oil being fraudulently relabelled as palm oil mill effluent in fuel supplied to the State; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
