214 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Education and Science the approaches her Department has had regarding the relocation of a school (details supplied) in Dublin 8; if she is satisfied that the submitted plans conform to her Department’s requirements in respect of such a new school; when the school will have to vacate its current site; if a new school will be provided at a site currently in the ownership of a developer; the apportionment of the costs of building a new school including site costs her Department expect to bear; the basis upon which a sixteen classroom school would be sufficient for current and future needs in the area in question; if she has further satisfied herself that the new school will be built as part of the final phase of the development; and her views on requiring same to be built as part of the first phase in view of the fact that the new school will mainly cater for existing pupils from an existing school.
