203 Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Education and Skills the total amount paid to persons who supervised the leaving certificate and junior certificate examinations in each of the years 2009, 2010 and 2011; the total number of persons who were engaged to provide this service each year; if he will provide a breakdown in the rates of pay which applied to persons charged with supervision services each year separately in tabular form; if these rates varied according to one’s experience and or occupation; the process involved in recruiting persons to these positions; if training on procedural matters is provided prior to the examinations taking place; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
