53 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if an investigation has commenced into allegations of Garda misconduct in the Donegal area pursuant to section 9 of the Garda Síochána Act, 1924; if he intends to publish the reports of the earlier investigations into allegations of Garda misconduct in the Donegal area; if he has received from the Garda Commissioner the reports completed to date; if so, if they will be lodged in the Library of Dáil Éireann; and his views on whether, in the public interest, a public inquiry should be conducted into these maters and also into the manner in which they have been dealt with to date by the Garda authorities.
