Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the status of the Workplace Relations Commission in preparing a code of practice under section 42 of the Industrial Relations Act 1990 to set out best industrial relations practice in managing the engagement between employers and employees in the run up to retirement, including requests to work beyond the normal retirement age in the employment concerned; the way and with whom the commission has consulted in preparing this code of practice; if a deadline has been set by when she expects the commission to complete its work; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
