Durkan asked the Minister for Health the reason a medical card has not been approved in the case of persons (details supplied) in County Kildare, whose means have been assessed by the Department of Social Protection, which assessment has already taken into account the earnings of both persons and awarded a reduced level of payment on the basis of income which should also be acceptable as a means test; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
