205 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the action the Government is taking, either unilaterally or with other EU Governments or through the UN to address concerns regarding Iran’s drive to gain access to nuclear weapons, human rights abuses in Iran and concerns that the theocratically controlled Government be replaced by a secular democratic government that is inclusive and accountable to the people of Iran; if there is concern that developments in Iran may have a detrimental effect on global stability; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
