Deputy Pat Deering asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 223 of 30 September 2014, in which it was stated that, in general, the Act maintains the long-standing position that all commercial facilities established for the purpose of making a private profit are liable for rates, the reason some sporting facilities including GAA county grounds are liable for commercial rates.
