Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration further to Parliamentary Question No. 673 of 8 July 2025, if An Garda Síochána are now able to issue fixed charge notices (FCNs) for registration plate offences; if the Garda authorities have finalised incorporating amendments from the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 into Garda ICT systems to allow Gardaí issue FCNs for these offences directly from their mobility devices; if this information has now been communicated to the wider Garda organisation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
