Deputy Johnny Guirke asked the Minister for Transport in view of the fact that some NCT applicants in County Meath who booked their tests in August 2022 have only now received the test after over nine months, and have valid NCT certificates only until September 2023, a situation replicated across the State, if he will consider amending the legislation to allow the NCT certificates to be valid for twelve months from the date of testing and issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
