Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the extent to which he continues to remain satisfied in the matter of this country’s economic performance in the wake of the exit from the bailout and with particular reference to the need to remain competitive in the context of all other European countries inside and outside the eurozone and the wider global community with whom this country trades; if he can foresee greater opportunities for economic recovery in the emerging climate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
