Durkan asked the Minister for Health the position regarding the existing and future role in the provision of services for the elderly in respect of St Brigid’s Hospital, Crooksling, Dublin 24, in view of the high level and quality of care, competence and ancillary facilities therein; if he will accept the need for the ongoing fundamental role provided by the hospital for the region; if he will ensure the retention of the maximum number of patients and staff at the facility; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
