Deputy Finian McGrath asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the reason that the legislation changes planned back in 2010 to allow the Comptroller and Auditor General to become auditor of the Office of the Wards of Court and audit the court’s funds (details supplied) was not carried through; when she envisages that such legislation will be amended to allow this to happen, in view of the fact that the Committee of Public Accounts examined this matter back in 2001; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
