Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his views on the communication from the European Commission (COM (2018) 98 final) on a new multi-annual financial framework for the EU post 2020 and the spending reductions proposed in relation to CAP; his plans to avoid reductions in the CAP budget after 2020; if he has proposed increasing the overall CAP budget; and if he has formally requested that member states increase their national contribution to the EU budget to fill the deficit caused by Brexit.
