Deputy Joe McHugh asked the Minister for Finance the reason the export repayment scheme is only available on M1 passenger vehicles, and not on commercially registered vehicles even though they have paid 13.3% VRT rate; if he will consider an exemption specifically for small and medium enterprise owners, where the business is more greatly impacted by this VRT rate than a larger business which is better positioned to absorb the financial impact (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter.
