Deputy Tom Fleming asked the Minister for Health if persons who are eligible for medical cards/general practitioner visit cards and through no fault of their own incurred medical costs which should have been covered by the medical card/GP visit card scheme, are now entitled to claim a refund for medical expenses incurred due to a Health Service Executive delay or mix up; the process for making a claim; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
