262 Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Transport further to Parliamentary Question No. 151 of 18 October 2007, the reason that his Department was able to provide a subsidy to Lough Swilly Bus Company to provide a public bus service to the people of north Donegal and Derry City in the 1980s and subsequently removed this subsidy; and the reason his Department has not intervened to ensure that the people of north Donegal have the same level of public transport as elsewhere in the State.
