Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to state whether advertisements on RTÉ television and radio reminding the public about the TV licence, which are stated to be "brought to you by the Government of Ireland", are paid for by the Government or are viewed as an internal RTE expense; the number of these ads which have been run on television and radio during 2022 and to date in 2023 and the overall amount paid to RTE in respect of these advertisements; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
