Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money collected by the Exchequer in each of the years from 2010 to 2017, inclusive, from excise and carbon tax on motor fuel, vehicle registration tax, VRT, motor taxation and value added tax, VAT on motor fuel and on vehicle purchases, in tabular form; the estimated impact the State’s policy of encouraging the purchase of electric vehicles will have on taxation receipts in the future; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
