Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if he will take steps to ensure the progress of a project (details supplied) that will deliver significant economic, social and environmental benefits to Wicklow, and which is currently delayed due to a situation which has arisen under his Department and agencies under its remit, whereby a “demand-side strategy for large energy users”, as required under the Climate Action Plan 2023, has not been completed, leading to a situation whereby this project cannot progress under the current policy framework which is the responsibility of his Department, and which has the potential to put this project in jeopardy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
