291 Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will establish with the Courts Service or other source the number of cases which have been prosecuted under section 185 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 in relation to assaults or threats to members of the emergency services; if he has satisfied himself that the existing law is sufficiently strong to address these crimes, in view of the escalation in such cases, and that there is sufficient awareness of this legislation among the Judiciary.
