Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Education and Skills if his Department can resolve the difficulties experienced by the family of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 who have schooled a child at home since April 2011 and have only received the tuition grant for 3.5 months because the child cannot be taken off the register of the special school it attended unless the child has another school to attend; and if this rule only applies to children with special needs in specialised schools.
