Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Education and Skills if any guidelines, direction or other form of communication has ever been issued by his Department or the National Educational Psychology Service to teachers, school principals or school management advising schools of the number of students that may be referred to the National Educational Psychology Service or the scheme for the commissioning of private psychological assessments for assessment of educational needs per school per year; if limitations currently exist on the number of children that may be referred for assessment per school per year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
