Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Skills if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath, who in 2011 completed a Level 8 Degree in Business Studies and in September 2012 commenced a FETAC Level 5 Pre-Nursing Course that finished in May 2013 and as a result has now applied for a Level 8 Mature applicant General Nursing in Athlone Institute of Technology, would be entitled to a higher education grant in the circumstances, plus they have worked part-time and hope the registration and tuition fees will be paid for them; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
