Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Finance his views on the analysis published by the International Monetary Fund on 16 June 2021 which found that meeting the envisaged emission reduction target in Ireland’s Climate Action and Low Carbon Development (Amendment) Bill 2021 is estimated to require significant investment of close to €20 billion or 5 % of GDP 1 annually over the next ten years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
