Durkan asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he has examined the entitlement of contractors from Northern Ireland or the UK in tendering for public works given that they are not now members of the EU; his views on whether tax, employee and financial compliance requirements as required by contractors from this jurisdiction can be monitored effectively in order to ensure a level playing field for all contractors who may tender for Government or local authority contracts; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
