336 Mr. Bruton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if a person who is occupying a bed in a private nursing home which has been contracted by the Health Service Executive is obliged to sign a separate contract of care with the nursing home in respect of the care that will be provided; if the Health Service Executive has set stipulations in relation to such a contract of care; if the new charges which are applied in respect of a contracted bed are being collected on an agency basis by the nursing home; and the authority which is granted to the nursing home in respect of the recovery of these charges when they are acting as agents on behalf of the Health Service Executive.
