Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to news reports in Spain that Deloitte may lose its Spanish licence to operate in the country as an auditor as a result of the very serious violations found by the Economy Ministry's ICAC Accounting and Audit Institute in its investigation of the firm's role as Bankia's auditor; if he will confirm whether these types of measure are being considered; if any adverse findings are made against auditors for the way they audited the Irish banks that subsequently required taxpayers' money; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
