Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the position that pertains in respect of a person, who has to compulsorily retire at the age of 65 years and receives jobseeker's benefit for nine months, with regard to the remaining three months in terms of an application for jobseeker's allowance whereby that person would have received a lump sum payment upon retirement; the way this is assessed in terms of eligibility for jobseeker's allowance; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
