Durkan asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if he is satisfied that the local authorities immediately adjoining Dublin city and county are in a position to deliver housing in line with requirements within the next three months, having particular regard to the preparatory work already undertaken in the past 12 months; the number of persons in need of immediate housing and recognising the need to meet the requirements of those that have been on local authority waiting lists for several years; the option he will consider as a matter of urgency in the event of a inability to deliver sufficiently to meet such requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
