Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the reason nine hole golf courses were excluded by Fáilte Ireland from the support available to golf courses to assist them through the Covid-19 pandemic given that some of the most tourist reliant areas in the State have such courses which attract many tourists to them and in which in many cases the development of 18 hole golf courses was impossible due to Natura 2000 designations on neighbouring land and water; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
