PQ 267

320 Deputy Eric Byrne asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government his views on the many different formulas for calculating persons’ eligibility for housing; his further views that it is wrong that Dublin City Council has one system which is completely different to the adjoining South Dublin County Council area’s method of calculating persons entitlements for social housing; his further views that there is an urgent need to review the methodology used throughout the entire country so that there is a single, common formula that is used throughout the entire country as opposed to the formulas that currently exist in each different area and that this new method is fair, equitable and transparent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
