Deputy Margaret Murphy O'Mahony asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if the owner or skipper is now responsible for mental health awareness and training in which the Marine Notice 42 of 2019, Council Directive 2017/159, on the implementation of the social partners agreement on the ILO work in fishing convention 2007, states that mental and physical well-being is fully protected and if the owner or skipper has received adequate instruction; the person or body that decides what adequate training is; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
