Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the nature and detail of the relationship between existing regional planning frameworks and guidelines and the new national planning framework; and if existing regional plans will have to have regard to the national planning framework and thus could be altered by the Office of the Planning Regulator if they are not deemed to be in line with the new national plan if the Planning and Development (Amendment) Bill 2016 is passed by the Houses of the Oireachtas.
