Deputy Willie Penrose asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the steps he will take to remedy a discrepancy in pay being given to temporary clerical officers, who have a starting contract wage of €379, instead of €460 and whereby same was acknowledged in an official circular in 2013 and wherein commitments were made to readjust the pay scale and ensure that this particular inequality was addressed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
