Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if a tenant can obtain a valuation in respect of their house that they reside in under the 2016 tenant incremental purchase scheme and in circumstances in which the local authority obtains a valuation; if that is the final word or if there are any reasonable grounds whereby an alternative valuation can be obtained from approved valuers and auctioneers and submitted to the council for their consideration; the mechanism used to ensure that the setting of the price is not a unilateral decision by the public body; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
