Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Skills the arrangements if any that are in place to accommodate staff from Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee in their daily travel and subsistence arrangements to the new amalgamated service located in Carlow; if a redundancy package will be available for those who wish to opt out; if options such as transfers to local authorities or local revenue or other local Government offices will be considered; if amalgamation and its knock on impact on the lives of the employees having to comply have been considered; if discussions regarding options have been taken place with all concerned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
