24 Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will bring forward legislative or policy provisions to reverse the blanket ban on diabetics joining An Garda Síochána and to introduce a clear system whereby every applicant or serving member with diabetes can be individually assessed and if possible accommodated to ensure that no fully trained member is unnecessarily limited in the duties they are allowed to undertake.
