Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 187 of 30 April 2013, where he stated that exemption of profits or gains from woodlands claimed from the Exchequer was €48.2 million in the last full year of data, which the maximum tax cost of €14.4 million, if he will set out the criteria for this tax exemption; the way it operates; his views on whether it is having any impact on agricultural development; or if there is an abuse of the scheme.
