Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will take tangible action at European Union level to bring forward the adoption of import and export prohibitions towards illegal settlements such as those in the Occupied Palestinian Territory Defence in view of the announcement on 27 October 2021 by Israel that it has given final approval for the building of 1,800 housing units and initial approval for another 1,344 and the earlier announcement that construction tenders for 1,355 housing units in the occupied West Bank are at an advanced stage; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
