Deputy Jennifer Carroll MacNeill asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the fact that domestic employers who availed of the temporary wage subsidy scheme for domestic employees, such as childminders, are being asked to pay the full amount given to them, as part of the scheme, back to the Revenue Commissioners; if a reimbursement scheme can be set up to cover this loss in view of the fact had employers not availed of the scheme employees would have applied for the pandemic unemployment payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
