Durkan asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the extent to which LIHAF road and bridge proposals for Maynooth, County Kildare have been held up for almost ten years with resulting constant frustration of traffic movements in and around Maynooth (details supplied); if urgent action will be taken to bring these delaying factors to a conclusion and set in place the necessary arrangements to carry out the extensive works given that the funding required was allocated ten years ago but has yet to be spent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
