Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will provide details of the equipment available to the Tallaght fire brigade in view of the events following the recent fire in which there was a need to get an aerial platform used to conduct the rescue from Tara Street station; if there are plans to reduce the valuable response time to fight fires in high rise buildings by getting the equipment needed in Tallaght fire station in view of the approved and planned increase in high rise residential buildings in Tallaght; the other areas that are in the same predicament with waiting times for aerial platforms; and the estimated waiting times are for these areas.
