Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if clean up operations at landfill or recycling sites in County Kildare are the responsibility of the local authorities, the Environmental Protection Agency or other bodies; if the regulatory structures in place are sufficient to meet requirements in full; if any action is required to improve the response of the statutory agencies charged with regulatory or monitoring responsibility in such matters; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
