Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if she will facilitate persons who are currently employed in the public service and are applying for a job at a higher grade in the same area but because they are already on an increment may be forced to start at a lower rate than their current salary (details supplied); if she will re-examine this situation and allow persons who are currently on a particular pay rate continue at that salary level in the new position; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
